Dr Ben and Sonja Kleynhans have been successfully involved in ministry, both locally and internationally, for the past 43 years. They are based in Tshwane, Pretoria, and are the founders of Touch The Nations (TTN) Ministries, an apostolic ministry committed to building God’s Temple, establishing His Kingdom, and restoring the image of His Son.

Committment to God's calling on his life
Dr. Ben is committed to helping pastors, leaders, and churches embrace Christ’s full formation in and through them and become more potent and effective global ambassadors for positive Kingdom impact in their spheres of influence.
A spiritual father and apostolic oversight
Dr Ben is a spiritual father to hundreds of global pastors and leaders, and, apart from being a multi-talented and highly skilled technician of the Word, he also holds an M.A. in Sociology, with a Doctorate in Interdisciplinary Studies. He often says, ‘I did not choose this season, but this season chose me’. This ‘choosing’ happened one evening in 2004, on an international ministry trip, whilst in his hotel room in New York. There, God confronted him with a burning question, ‘What are you busy with?’, which brought about a new activation and resolve to build only God’s Kingdom. In that moment, the Spirit apprehended Him anew from above, and lifted Him into a higher dimension of ministry, being ‘born again, again’, so to speak.
Establishing ministries for God’s glory
The first manifestation to follow this Divine intervention was the establishing of the TTN Ministries Household of Faith in 2005, after which followed the birth of the Church in the City (CiC) in 2006. The CiC in South Africa is a family of 13 nationwide autonomously connected Households, who, through their unified purpose and commitment, are bringing reformation to the Church, locally and abroad. It is their conviction that God has ushered a new season into the world, called the apostolic. This is a word that has sadly been used loosely and misunderstood and misrepresented by many.
God is reforming His Church back to its original intent and mandate to be an accurate representation of that which was in His heart from the beginning. He is establishing His Kingdom only, as the highest above all other kingdoms, which include the kingdoms of own ministries.
The set time has come “that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.” - Isaiah 2:2
The Church in the City plays an influential role in the lives of hundreds of pastors, leaders, and members across South Africa.
How is this accomplished?
This is accomplished through monthly and annual interventions, during which pastors and leaders are trained and equipped with proven apostolic engineering principles, from the proceeding Word of God. From the CiC’s base in South Africa, it branches out internationally with an already successfully model replicated in other parts of the world, through whom they collectively impact thousands of pastors and leaders across the globe. Dr Ben and Sonja also started the TTN Apostolic Bible School (TTNABS) in Pretoria in 2017, offering both on-campus and online learning in English and Spanish, aimed at non-academic, lifestyle enrichment.
What is God saying to His Church today?
It is all about the formation of Christ in a Corporate Body. Arise and welcome the Bride of Christ, a many membered, effective, and overcoming Body of believers!
