Volunteering forms an integral part of ensuring that you become an active member of this household.
Many times people would only be passive members of a church, a family, a body.
If one is to be part of a body though, the implication is that you cannot be in-active or passive; every member of the body has a task to fulfill and must therefore be active in its function within the body. (Romans 12:4-8).
As a member of the Body of Christ in the TTN Family, we expect involvement in at least one area of service in one of the departments mentioned (click here to see the various ministry departments).
We strongly believe in the value of service and dedication to the Lord, which forms an integral part of our value system and also serves as one of the pre-requisites to becoming a member of the TTN Family.
Serving not only shows your willingness to become an active member, but also exemplifies your commitment to showing forth the character of Christ, the model Servant. We have been called to serve, not to be served, following His example, (Matthew 20:28).
This service is to be the outflow and evidence of a vibrant and living relationship with the Lord; and also attests to the fact that you are a part of this living organism, called the Body of Christ.
One can only truly be a member when you are connected, and when you are working together with the body towards reaching that which the Father has called us to.
As a member of the TTN Family, laboring alongside one another and the father of this house, know that, through serving as a volunteer, you play a vital role in establishing His kingdom, building His temple, restoring the image of the Son.
